Ingrid Van Munster

In this spatial ceramic research, developed over the years, Ingrid Van Munster (b. 1974, FR) undeniably gives life to earth and fluidity to colour. Ingrid developed and then found a common thread in her ceramic approach: glazing as a language, an emotion deposited on a form evocative of nature.

Another no less important aspect in the visual rhythm: the rupture. The strength of the glazed shape is, indeed a hole. A kind of tear, a chasm, a depression or even a chaos dug with a finger in the still soft earth letting the whole breath. Everything is fluid. Ingrid Van Munster's glazed orbs present an astonishing sensory dimension close to synaesthesia with simultaneous perceptions: at the same time visual, plastic, luminous or even poetic. Like landscape suggestions or miniaturised worlds encouraging a journey of the senses.
