Organic ceramic sculpture.
Matter serves the void, revealing it rather than imprisoning it. Hence this immensely positive feeling of vitality when faced with one of Dorothée Loriquet's sculptures. Dorothée has no need or desire for drawing. It would be over-simplistic in her case, as the immediacy of her forms defy premeditation, imbued as they are with movement. They take shape in space and time, guided by the desire to transpose the feelings that produce them, life’s perpetual movement and surprises.
